Cards Against Humanity is a popular party game with good old-fashioned raunchy adult themes that go quite well with a few alcoholic beverages. Up until now, though, you had to either print out a set of cards or order the official deck to play—unless, of course, all players happened to have devices that sported the same operating system.
Considering that the game has always used a public license, developer Dawson Whitfield decided he'd bring CAH into the modern era with a cross-platform website. The end result is a simple interface that will allow you and your closest friends to play on all of your respective devices, regardless of operating system. Best of all, the service utilizes all available decks, including expansion sets!
Step 1: Start a New Game
From any web browser—meaning from your phone, tablet, or computer—head to CardsAgainstOriginality.com to begin. Next, start a new game by clicking or tapping the "New game" link in the top-right corner of the screen.
If you have any problems with the "New game" link, tap the menu button in the top-left corner. From here, choose "Start a new game," which should work on any browser.
Step 2: Gameplay Controls
When you start a new game, you'll get a quick little tutorial. As it says, you can play a card by dragging it up from the bottom of the screen.
To become the Judge, just tap or click the black card in the middle of the screen.
Step 3: Invite Your Friends to Play
When your friends are ready to play, hit the menu button in the top-right corner of the page. From here, choose "Invite players" to generate a link to your new game.
Next, simply copy the provided link, then send it to your friends with your favorite email or messaging program.
Have your friends follow the link that you sent them, and they'll immediately join the game. Regardless of their OS, gameplay will be the same on their end of the connection.
