Family Feud is one of the longest-running game shows in American TV history. Its viewer base spans generations, and this is mostly due to the fun nature of the show. Contestants have to guess the most popular answers to survey questions that were posed to 100 random strangers, and the responses often range from silly to downright funny.
A developer has taken the basic premise of this game and applied it to Google search suggestions—you know, when Google tries to complete your query based on the phrases that users type into Google the most frequently. The end result is both entertaining and hilarious, so if you're looking to burn some time, you needn't look any further.
How to Play
To begin, head to GoogleFeud.com from any web browser. There are 4 categories to choose from—Culture, People, Names, and Questions—simply choose one to get started.
Next, Google Feud will provide the first half of a Google search. Your goal here is to guess the first 10 auto-complete suggestions that Google would provide for this query.
So make your best guess, and if it's there, you'll get some points. The first Google search suggestion is worth 10,000 points, the second gets you 9,000, and so on.
When you guess wrong, you'll get a strike. After three strikes, your round will be over.
When a round is over, the remaining Google search suggestions that you failed to guess will be revealed. If you're ready to have another go at it, click "Next Round."
You can choose a different category this time if you'd like, or you can keep on going with more of the same. The scoring is cumulative, so you can continue playing for as long as you'd like without having to start over.
It's a fun little game that can kill time with the best of them. What's your high score on Google Feud? Let us know in the comment section below.
